Targeted Development - Community-driven Sub-ProjectsWhat is it about? In order to provide a sound basis for joint, world-wide and community-driven code development an open sub-project management system is hosted within the OpenFOAM®-Extend Project. This system provides task management, time line (deadlines) and messaging facilities as well as a place for file sharing of source code. The conceptual approach is that community-driven sub-projects might evolve from discussion within the sub-groups, such as local user groups or special interest groups, which also can be founded on this web site to stimulate a concerted development. How to contribute? In case you find a want to form a sub-group you are invited to do so at http://www.extend-project.de/user-groups/groups Fill out the form and chose an appropriate access setting you feel comfortable with: Access settings - Is public Set this to yes if you want non-project members to be able to see this project. Otherwise the project will be visible only to you and your project members. Note that any user with the flag "SystemAdministrator" can see your project regardless of this setting.
Access settings - Allow registration Allow others to request to join your project. This will only work if "Is public" is set to "Yes"! Users can request to join the project from the project details page. You will then receive an email notification from the applicant. To manage your project members and join requests, go to the "Users" section. All facilities of the open sub-project management system are ready to use!
