Community Organisation - Community Event ManagementWhat is it about?An event management system is provided within the OpenFOAM®-Extend Community portal in order to stimulate regular community events such as trainings, summer schools, user meetings, workshops or conferences all over the world. For this purpose, the event management enables to all functionalities needed to organise an event related to the OpenFOAM®-CFD toolbox - by providing basic information about the event/the venue and by providing registration and survey/poll capabilities. In order to further promote and advertise events an iCal file of all events is provided for download. An abstract submission system as well as a payment system is planned. How to contribute?If you want to organise your OpenFOAM®-related event you are invited to do so using the event management system at http://www.extend-project.de/news-and-events/detailed-categories Community Organisation - Discussion Boards & Mailing ListsWhat is it about?In order to enable all sub-groups (see below) to communicate, a discussion board system forms the basis of the sub-group messaging system within the OpenFOAM®-Extend project. Further there is the possibility for wall posts and private messaging. All is intended to stimulate concerted and efficient community-driven development of the OpenFOAM® CFD toolbox within the OpenFOAM®-Extend Project. Community Organisation - Network and Board SystemWhat is it about?For the community organisation into topic-specific and functional sub-groups a network component is provided within the OpenFOAM®-Extend Project. This offers all facilities needed to communicate among the members of the OpenFOAM® community via group discussion boards & messaging systems. Further a board system enables to networking. This can be categorised into three sub-boards, namely - OpenFOAM® Clusters
You are invited to list your institution, company or business as a cluster having sound expertise in using and/or developing OpenFOAM® technology. Feel free to provide detailed informations about your field of activity and your expertise on OpenFOAM® to its community.The locations of all clusters will be directed to the world map below, giving a (clickable) overview of the international OpenFOAM® community's network. - Academic Board
All information undergraduates, graduate students and Postdocs need when searching a scientific work (Internship, Term Thesis, Master Thesis, PhD Thesis, Postdoc) around OpenFOAM®. University Institutes and Scientific Organizations are invited to provide detailed informations on their scientific projects. - Professional Board
The OpenFOAM®-Extend Project aims to stimulate contracted or collaborative development using OpenFOAM® technology worldwide. The main idea is to provide companies a central place to search for professionals and freelancers for their projects around OpenFOAM®.
How to contribute?Fill in the respective forms available from the left menu panel providing all required information. After a approval phase your sub-group will be created (Menu Section "Community") resp. your content will be hosted within the Network & Board System (Menu Section "Network"). |
